I mentioned on Facebook in January that I had a "big announcement" coming up. I didn't even think about this possibility when I said it, but I think some of my friends thought I was hinting that I was pregnant! Hahahahahahahahahahaha .......nope. Not happening!
I do have another, completely different sort of baby announcement that I'm excited to share with you. I have a new line for my kid's and baby clothing! It's called Happy Dragon Clothing. I am finally ready to share my new "baby" business with the world.
I had been doing a few kid's items in my regular Etsy shop but in an effort to effectively market both the kid's and women's clothing, I decided it would be best to split them up. Rosie Rose Designer is still going strong, and I've done some work on refreshing my logo and look. Happy Dragon Clothing is, as of today, open for business on Etsy! I have been making clothing for my kids for their whole lives, and Ezra (my older daughter) is 7 now. She's been the guinea pig for all my designs, helping me figure out what works and what doesn't. The clothing I made for her was then passed on to her little sister Fiona, and I've gotten to see how well the clothing lasts through two kids (who are not delicate with their clothing), and many, and I mean MANY washings. I would say I am very confident in my designs! They have been kid-tested for comfort, durability, and most importantly, cuteness.
Some of the items offered in the new shop: unisex patchwork pants; tent dresses for baby girls that can double as a top as they get taller; hand printed onesies and t-shirts; and super cute baby bellbottoms.
Happy Dragon will also be available at Granny's Place in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. If you visit Eureka be sure to swing by and check it out! Granny's also carries my husband's tie dye clothing and my father-in-law Russell's stained glass art and jewelry! They are a staple of downtown Eureka and I'm proud to have my work there.
